Requirements

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Payroll or HR qualification (Recognition of Prior Learning acknowledged)
  • Knowledge of SAP systems (SAP 409, SAP Fusion)
  • Familiarity with relevant query management systems
  • 2-4 years’ experience in HR or payroll

Duties

Service Delivery and Excellence:

  • Provide professional, customer-oriented service at the GSS Employee Services organization.
  • Build trust through effective communication and display empathy and courtesy.
  • Work collaboratively with Employment Data Management and Payroll Execution teams for knowledge transfer.
  • Assist customers in utilizing self-service stations and inform them about GSS services.

Query Resolution and Case Management:

  • Manage the Walk-In Centre and Contact Centre for employee, potential employee, ex-employee, management, and HR queries.
  • Provide first-line problem resolution and escalate complex queries to appropriate resolver groups.
  • Log queries accurately, follow up, and provide feedback within the required SLA.

Customer Service Requests:

  • Respond to customer service requests such as reprinting payslips and payroll documents.
  • Ensure accurate logging and processing of customer requests.

Document Handling:

  • Verify and process customer documents for the Employee Data Management team.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Act as a distribution point for GSS and HR information.

Employee Engagement and Termination:

  • Arrange logistics for new employee inductions and first-day procedures.
  • Handle the documentation and processes for employee terminations and probation.

Promote Best Practices and Knowledge Management:

  • Share business information and knowledge within the GSS to facilitate effective knowledge management.

Service Management:

  • Support the standardization of service delivery by adhering to the Service Management Framework.

Business Partner and Customer Relationships:

  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and business partners to ensure optimal functioning of service centres.
