About the Role
Cure Day Hospitals is seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist & Admissions Clerk to join its Paarl team. This opportunity is ideal for an individual with experience in healthcare administration who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the hospital's front desk and admissions process.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist patients, visitors, and other clients in a friendly and professional manner.
Manage the hospital switchboard and direct calls appropriately.
Respond to patient enquiries and provide information regarding admissions.
Capture pre-admissions and process patient admissions and discharges accurately.
Assist patients with medical aid authorisations and prepare quotations when required.
Receive and process payments while maintaining accurate billing records.
Complete, organise, and file patient records according to hospital procedures.
Liaise with nursing staff, theatre managers, and doctors regarding admissions, cancellations, and schedule updates.
Perform monthly banking tasks and provide general administrative support.
Ensure reception equipment, including computers, printers, and photocopiers, remains in good working condition.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric) with a relevant qualification.
Between 1 and 3 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
Knowledge of ICD-10 coding.
Experience using patient administration systems and hospital procedures.
Flexibility to work shifts based on operational requirements.
Own reliable transport.
