Eckraal Quarries. has a vacancy for a: Truck Driver (Fixed Term)
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies:
Matric / Grade 12.
Valid code 14 driver’s license.
3 years + experience driving a truck.
A valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
Ability to distinguish between back up alarms, voices, and other normal sounds.
Be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safe operation of the truck.
- Delivering the required product safely and on time to the correct place.
- Loading of material to the truck.
- Effectively communicate with site personnel.
- Daily pre-start inspections on the truck.
- Reporting of any breakdowns / defects.
- Keep the truck clean.
- Overseeing the loading of the required product.
- Close out at the end of the day.
Candidates must preferably reside in the surrounding area.
The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
