About the JumpStart Retail Sales Programme
The JumpStart Retail Sales Programme (RSP) is a dynamic training initiative designed to equip South African youth with the essential skills needed for a successful career in retail. Our mission is to empower young individuals by providing a comprehensive two-week training experience that includes life skills development, sales theory, role-playing, and in-store work experience.
We believe that both soft and hard skills are crucial for success in the retail industry. That’s why our programme begins with a five-day life skills course covering personal development, self-esteem, emotional development, communication, conflict resolution, and more. This foundation prepares participants not only for the technical aspects of retail but also for the interpersonal challenges they will face in the workplace.
Our impact speaks for itself, with an 88% employment rate and thousands of youths developed and employed through our programme. We collaborate closely with employer partners to ensure our graduates are work-ready and have a clear pathway to employment.
Training is held in major South African cities, including Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Pretoria, from March to October. Suitable candidates are selected through an online survey and telephone screening, ensuring a fair and thorough selection process.
Join the JumpStart Retail Sales Programme to gain valuable life skills, credible work experience, and the confidence needed to excel in the retail industry. Apply today and take the first step towards a rewarding career in retail.
